9/10 times, in most cases if a septic tank is involved, the property will need a TOT (Time of Transfer) before it can be sold. However, there are a few exceptions to that rule. Those exceptions can be found in the Iowa Chapter 69 Code, and or by calling your county’s environmental department representative.
